Dodgers fall to short-handed Angels 8-3

The Angels struggled to field a team, but were able to get nine kids to the field and exploded in the last inning to blow open a close game and defeat the Dodgers. Hux raced home in the bottom of the fifth to make it a 3-2 game, but a big top of the 6th inning took the wind out of the Dodgers "comeback" sails.

Fernando made a great catch on a long fly ball in center field, and Tyler returned impressively to the mound and worked a solid inning. He struck out all three kids he got out. Alex had a good 5th inning, but couldn't finish them off in the sixth. Austin came in and threw one pitch to retire the side.

We have the bye this week, so we don't return to action until Saturday.

I have gotten a number of inputs for the blog--so I will put up one or two of them a day with photos this week. The kids should get a kick out of learning some things about their teammates.

Bye for now!
